I use Adobe Premiere CS4. Been using Premiere since version 6 so it's what I'm used to, that and had formal training on version 6.5 and 7.

It was done using the rig in my sig (lol) this was mainly a test run on FRAPS and such. I was too lazy to re-do the encode. I do have FRAPS set to one of my Caviar Black drives, I'm not that noobish when it comes to videography ^_^

Oh dude no worries. I didn't take it that way at all. You had no way of knowing i've been into this stuff for awhile either so. It's all good.

I'm actually re-doing the encode right now so within the hour i'll have a better version up on youtube.

Woo Arkham Asylum!

Just got to the Botanical Gardens, which means Poison Ivy will (formally) be entering the plot pretty soon.

I actually just got done playing some Portal; it's the first time I've really sat down and done so since before I got my current video card (and well before the recent ARG).... Holy crap does everything look nice. Not that it looked horrible before, but now I have all the eye-candy turned up to 11, and wow. Even the gun itself looks different.

And I beat Batman: Arkham Asylum Sunday morning. Basically 19 hours (game-time) got me the entire story mode and all of Riddler's puzzles (Not 100% Completion though). Real-world time took me about a week and a half to two weeks. Not bad, I say; the story was pretty good too and I recommend it to anyone that's a Batman fan.

Yeah, I still say that Source is one of the best game engines out there when used properly, and I mean that on an eye candy level. I can still fire up Half-Life 2 and there are places where you would be hard pressed to tell it was a screenshot versus a photo. (In City 17, anyway)

The little broskie played that not too long ago and said it was really good. God he's turned into a bigger PC gamer than me in the last couple of years. It's getting to be an embarrassment. He's still on my butt about not having played through Bioshock yet (I just played the demo).

I'm currently not playing anything mentionable, just stupid Facebook games like Farmville and Mafia Wars (Hey, they are quite addicting and fun).

Last thing I played on the PC was Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed, but I got stuck somehow a few weeks back. I can't do any more races because my car is too damaged to make it through them, and I can't repair because I don't have enough money, and I can't get money without winning a damned race!!! Argh! You should NOT be able to reach that kind of an impass, there should always be some kind of a way to dig yourself out. Bad game design decision on one of my favorite old time racers.

Yeah, totally buying a DSi next paycheck (this Friday) and picking up either HeartGold or SoulSilver, don't know which one yet though. Probably gonna grab HeartGold since I had Gold on the GameBoy Colour.

Still rocking some DiRT 2, can not get enough of that game. Now that I have a better CPU I can FRAPS a little bit a better, but I think i'm still bottlenecking with my RAM for full 1080 recordings. Another video below:

You know I never EVER got into the whole Pokemon craze? Granted I was already 20 or 21 when the original Gameboy (4 shades of green yo!!!) games hit the USA so I didn't really see the appeal. At that time I was all into the SNES, the N64, and the associated Zelda and Mario titles.

Closest I've come is playing Pikachu on Super Smash Brothers, he's one of my favorite characters to play as.

(NOTE: I had to add "Pikachu" and "SNES" to my Firefox spell check dictionary just now, ROOFLES!)

I'm surprised you finished Twilight Princess; I thought you dropped that for whatever reason way back when and never got back around to it. Assuming you did beat it, I'd say don't warm it back up again.

BioShock has the best story, Batman: Arkham Asylum has f-ing Batman whooping ass, and DiRT2 has the most "fun". I hit BioShock first, then DiRT2, then Batman:Arkham Asylum.

I never finished it, got caught up in family drama, moving, and work. I haven''t played it in about a year but if memory serves I had just gotten all the pieces of the twilight mirror (or whatever it's called) and was staring straight forward into a portal filled with scary ass looking pentagram thingies. To borrow from evildre, I think I said "OSHI..." saved and quit at that point. Then I had to pack away the cube for some reason or another - hell it probably has the TP disc still in it

NOW what's your answer, my Jedi Master? Big Grin

It shall be DONE!

In all seriousness though, yeah I'm going to pull out the gamecube box (I collect them, I have like 4 now) and find whichever one has Zelda TP still in it.

Now just trying to decide if it's been so long I want to replay the entire game, or if I want to start from assembling the twilight mirror (fairly late in the game, at least from my perspective). That's assuming I can even find my orange memory card of Doom... it hasn't let me down yet!

I need to start collecting game consoles again. I have a bit of a start. Got a DreamCast, Original Playstation (with the giant parallel port in the back), Big PS2 with a Network attachment (with a soft modded memory card and a boot loader disc), Slim PS3, Two original XBOX's (both soft modded) and an Xbox360. And for Handhelds I have a softmodded PSP and soon a DSi with an R4i chip.

I know, kinda pathetic screenies but what's a gamecuber to do?

I thought about installing Dolwin (gamecube/wii emulator) and playing it in 1080p glory, but then I'd have to download a disc image since most PC drives can't rip original cube discs.

Anyway if it isn't obvious I'm replaying "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" from beginning and hopefully to the end this time barring any distractions. I've got about 3 hours play time into it and just finished the forest temple (yay gale bommerang!). And I still say that monkey spanking it's own ass is the funniest thing since Bongo-Bongo in Ocarina of Time... even though the monkey is just a mini-boss.

I've been reading all of last year's issues of Nintendo Power (my cousin sent them all my way a few months ago) and in one of last summer's issues they had a 4 page article dedicated to the Sega Genesis, talking about not only about how Sega caught Nintendo with their pants down in a market that had been dominated by the 8-bit NES, but also talking about the best Virtual Console Genesis titles to get along with the best titles they wish would get put on the Wii's Virtual Console offerings.

It was a good read and made bathrom time fly by...

So now I wanna bust out the Genesis and see if it works.

I was a huge fan of the Sega Master System, it was the best 8-bit system in my opinion... way more powerful and versatile than the NES - Sega just didn't have any publishers willing to put out content in a Nintendo dominated market. But I wasn't a big fan of the Genesis for the first two years of it's release - it wasn't until the first Sonic title came out that I became hooked. So I missed out on a lot of the good content. It didn't help matters much that the Genesis game market in the US was dominated by sports titles either, big turn off for me because I hate sports and sports games in general.

But my favorite all-time 16-bit system is still the highly underrated and under supported (in the USA, anyway) NEC Turbo-Grafx 16. That was one badass machine with some serious arcade quality power behind it. I still remember being amazed by the quality of such games as the pack in Keith Courage in Alpha Zones, or Alien Crush, or Devil's Crush, or the gazillion amount of crazy imported japanese space shooters. Its so nice to see some awesome TG16 titles on the Wii's VC for everyone to enjoy.

I think I'm going to have to do a video blog after making this post... because I could go on re-editing it forever.
