Trying to find a capacitor kit for a Vizio M470VT. Anyone have some ideas on where to look?

Picked up a GTX 780 Reference card (Zotac branded) off the [H]ardForum because the seller had it listed for $100 shipped. Seemed like a steal to me given that they regularly sell for $150 - $180 used.

My original plan was to stick it in my PC alongside my GTX 1080 and use it as extra encoding power for encoding videos, but turns out Sony (err... MAGIX) Vegas 15 isn't smart enough to leverage more than one GPU for NVENC operations.

So the new plan is to drop the 780 into the kid's gaming / guest usage PC and then take the 660 that was in it and plop it in my machine as a PhysX dedicated card. I've already got the kid's gaming PC on the workbench anyway because the stupid Crucial MX100 that's in it went tits up. Apparently this was a huge problem with the MX100.

I had to go up on the roof at the office yesterday to take a look at one of the rooftop units, since we weren't getting any heat in a certain section of the office for some reason. The unit in question had its safety switch turned off, but we couldn't figure out why. Took the electrical panels off the side and, apart from a really weirdly-wired breaker and a slightly dirty terminal block there was nothing out of the ordinary. Took another panel off to expose the burner and flipped the safety switch to on, and the burner fired right up. After about 30 seconds I heard the angriest electrical buzzing I've heard in that building, so I threw the switch back off.

Now ... in the process I packed a small thermal imaging camera in my coat pocket just in case. Forgot about it and brought it home by accident.

If you have never watched a dog take a shit in the snow through a thermal imaging camera, you are missing out.

Wish I could ... I didn't have a MicroSD in it, and it's a pretty low-end camera that doesn't do video

I'll have to borrow it again and film it with my phone.

Getting ready to shoot the final scenes of my Amazon Fire 10 HD (2017) review.

Youtube video will be forthcoming on my channel, but suffice it to say for the price it's really freaking sweet.

Nox must be bored, three videos got uploaded to YT in the last hour.

(I've watched the Fire 10 one, even though I am not in the market for a new tablet.)

Jesus fucking Christ, I'm just now reading up on this via the article on [H] this morning.

Looks like certain attacks can't even be patched out, and the patches that CAN be applied are going to cause us all to take what could possibly be a major performance hit (up to 25% in some scenarios). Meanwhile AMD is adamant that their processors are pretty much immune.

And Google says AMD is not immune, so I'm going to go with that, since they don't need to be egotistical in this particular case.

I'm all patched up (as much as I can be, I suppose), though I doubt ASRock is going to put out a BIOS update for my chipset/processor any time soon.
