Decided to get off my ass and add all my movies/tv shows (two whole shelves worth!) to VUDU/Ultraviolet, since I kept seeing codes for them on the back of the box. So I settle in, and start typing...

And am done about 10 minutes later because of the ~50 titles I have, 8 had codes.

I rip my DVDs myself and encode them using Handbrake. Then I throw them on my home server and let Plex stream them.

I probably should do that, but I am way lazy.

My problem is a lack of time. And the only computer I have with a DVD drive is my wife's so that makes it hard too. I should throw a DVD drive in my home server, but then I have to go into the crawlspace in order to swap discs

Wait ... you mean to tell me people still use optical discs? I don't think any of the DVD burners on the laptops at work have been opened in at least 2 years ... and the desktops (and new servers ... the Dell R-xd units, C-series, and FC630 specifically) don't have optical drives at all.

Yeah... I even retired my beloved Blu-ray burner about 6 months ago when I switched to the Thermaltake Core V21 - it has no 5.25" bays. I don't really regret it, although the pile of Youtube videos I need to back up to BD-R discs is growing pretty large. Eventually I want to either get an external enclosure for the drive I have, or just get a decent external Blu-ray burner on it's own.

But my point is I can count on one hand the number of times I've used optical media for anything in the last year or so. Even movies.... Although strangely enough we keep buying blu-rays out of the $5 bin at Walmart, Fry's, and Best Buy. Old habits....

I JUST GOT BACK FROM A TEN MILE WALK.

That's a definite record for me. The bottom of my feet are numb and my right hip is singing a very loud song.... but I still feel so accomplished.

Yeah, I think my own personal record is like... 12 miles. But that was only once and basically all I did afterwards was collapse into bed and sleep for a few hours. And then decided to never do that ever again.

Speaking of Blu Rays, I actually was at Wal-Mart and bought the BR for Haywire since it was in the $5 bin, and the BR for the new Power Rangers movie because I actually enjoyed it when I watched it in the theatre.
