First run with the Razer Bluetooth earbuds got me just over 5 hours; that's less than ideal. I need, well not double that, but 8 or so like they actually claim to get.

Interesting. I don't think I've ever tried to run the Razer buds for 8 hours straight, but I know I've at least gotten 6 out of them -- used them for media audio and phone/videoconferencing audio during that time.

Well, I may have purchased fakes?

I noticed after the fact that it was a third-party seller (still fulfilled by Amazon though) and the S/N doesn't work on Razer's site. The packaging and the item look exactly like what I've seen in reviews though. Weird. Fired off an e-mail to Razer and I'll see what they say.

Huh. Makes me distrust Amazon slightly more, since they're a haven for counterfeit items that use legit pictures. Made that mistake with a bulb for the Sony DLP TV downstairs and ended up with a bulb going out within 3 months of purchase, but then bought a legit, more expensive, identically-listed bulb and it's been going for the past 4 or so years.

I mean, if the battery had been consistently at 8hrs. (the listing says "up to 8") and not five, I probably wouldn't have noticed?

But then I tried to register it for the warranty and the S/N was invalid, and now everything seems like flashing red lights that wouldn't normally be.
