Default Google drops the price of the Nexus 4! Now $199!

In what I can only assume is an effort to push remaining inventory in anticipation of the Nexus 5 launch in a few months, Google have knocked as much as $100 off the price of the Nexus 4 in the Google Play Store. This is a HELL of a deal on an Android handset that still has the balls to take on most any other current generation unit.

The price of the 8GB Nexus 4 is now $199.99, and the 16GB version is now $249.99 - directly from Google's own Play Store.

For those of you who need a refresher on the specs of the Nexus 4, here's the most important stuff:

CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro (Quad core, 1.5ghz)
Display: 4.7" Super LCD (IPS panel), 1280 x 768 pixels, Gorilla Glass 2
Memory: 2GB DDR3 RAM, 8 or 16GB storage
Cellular: Quad Band GSM (Unlocked GSM/UMTS/HSPA+
GSM/EDGE/GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
3G (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz)
Camera: 8MP rear with LED flash, 1.3MP front (webcam)

And of course it has all of the other bells and whistles you'd expect like Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n (wifi), Accelerometer, Barometer (!!), etc

It also features wireless charging capability... just drop it on a wireless charging mat and let it juice itself up. (It does come with a traditional wired charger though)

I might just have to upgrade from my old trusty Samsung Galaxy Nexus now.....
