Nostalgia is really annoying sometimes.

My ol' Acer whatever monitor gave up. I've moved my LG 24M45 to secondary duty, and have slapped an LG 25UM57 in as primary. Going to have to see how Witcher 3 behaves at 2560x1080 ... and may have to buy a second one because, despite the vertical resolution being identical, there's about 2 inches of height difference between the two displays.

Steam's got a Spring Sale going on this weekend, and it's 'focus' is Spring Cleaning The Backlog.

So you get trophies and whatnot focused on playing recommended games on your account. Stuff like "you've put two hours into this game but not for a while", or "you've bought this game in the last six months but haven't played it yet", or "play the first game you ever got on Steam", things like that. If you wanted to be mercenary about it, you could just tweak something like the Steam Achievement Trainer, or a card generator or something, since it just records the initial moment the game boots up.

Still an interesting tack for an event, since it doesn't actually focus on getting you to purchase games (and in fact, all but one of the games on my wishlist are not on sale) and instead to actually play things.

I'm not bothering with the trophies and stuff. Still playing Witcher III, got about 60 hours under my belt now. I enjoy it.

The Lenovo P52s is a monster, especially when equipped with the optional 72wh battery.

Got into the Crew 2 Beta, which also means that I got a handful of invites if anyone's interested.

Also yes, The Crew 2 is only on uPlay, so you'd have to be down with that in order to play.

edit: You're gonna need to be on my uPlay friendslist too, apparently. You can probably guess what my name is on there.

I have replaced a heating element in a Kenmore 110.87872602 dryer. So ... if you have one of those, I can tell you how to do it too

I cleaned the insides out to the best of my ability, but there's still some lint/dust left over inside. That, and the new heating element is brand-new, never used, so it's gonna make some nasty smells before it's truly ready for prime time. I'm going to have to cycle it a few times before drying clothes in the thing, because right now, it makes the smoke alarm slightly angry when I open the dryer after a quick heat/cool cycle.
