Pro-tip: "sram" means "I'm shitting" in Polish.

Lots more pieces to go. Including an elusive SR Suntour Zeron 1X crankset.

Ice Cream Cake.

Because I'm worth it.

Steam Summer Sale is on. Nothing I really want to buy yet ... but Steam Link is $2.50, so I bought that and a controller. Had $50 credit on my Steam account from a gift card I got for my birthday, so after shipping & taxes, I have $0.23 left. Does it really count as buying it, if I didn't have to whip out my wallet?

A GoPro Hero 5 Black edition... I've wanted a REAL GoPro for awhile, and Amazon had this version with their payment plan. Instead of $250 up front I get 5 monthly payments of $49. Can't beat that...

I hope I'm able to use it someday. Right now I can't even walk to the kitchen without my knee threatening to give way.

Iíve thought about a cheap action camera for if I ever get to use my mountain bike as a mountain bike.

Grabbed a set of earbuds (thanks dre!) and a cooler. The first thing is for work, the second is for.. well not play, but having something I can cram everything in my fridge/freezer into is a good idea for Hurricane Season.

  • A bunch of silly decals for the Civic ("0-60 Eventually", N7 symbol, Chicago flag sticker, Skyrim "We Know", Coheed and Cambria keywork, FMA Homunculus symbol, Aperture Science logo, Borderlands Vault symbol, LOTR "caravan" decal, sleeping Pikachu, Half-Life lambda symbol, Soul Eater logo, the skull from Rukia's glove in Bleach, Mario & Luigi, wolf medallion from The Witcher), which will go either on the car or on the Yakima fairing
  • Yakima Roundbars - 58"
  • Yakima Baseline Towers for Naked Roofs
  • Yakima Roundbar SL Adapter
  • Baseclips and Pads for Yakima Baseline Towers
  • Yakima SKS Lock Cores
  • WeatherTech FloorLiners for the Civic
  • Bondo Fiberglass Resin Repair Kit
  • Mother's clay bar

Going to North Carolina again next week, and have to take a lot of shit with me. My trunk will be completely full of stuff, and I don't want to keep things in the backseat, so I'm going to fit a roof rack. I already have some Yakima rack parts from when I had the Solara like 15 years ago, but some pieces are missing so I have to backfill the stuff I don't have, which is a lot. The 58" Roundbars are way too big, but I have 48" ones that I'll use instead; I will use the 58" ones on the van when we drive to Florida, as those are the recommended size for the Odyssey.

Once I have the roof rack fitted I'll head over to a shop that sells the Yakima Loadmaster rooftop basket and slap that up there as well, since the basket makes more sense on the Civic than a solid shell roof box -- a box would stick out over the windshield and rear window, and I don't believe it'll clear the antenna, which also happens to contain the GPS receiver, which I'll need since Waze crashes all the time on the trip between IL and NC. I'll stick one of those water-resistant cargo bags and a net up top, and put my clothes and tools in there for the trip. My dad has a solid roof box that I'll use for the Florida trip, but that thing is HUGE -- it's actually wider than the Civic's roof.

There's a bit of rust on the Civic on the rear wheel wells, so I'll hit that with some 40 grit and then use the resin repair kit to patch it up. By "a bit of rust" I mean "there are holes," so yeah, I'll have to cut the fabric that comes into the kit to make a patch. I have primer, color-matched paint, and clear, so I should be able to get that all done tomorrow/Tuesday. I already have other sandpaper from 80 to 400 grit, so I can wet sand as necessary. I also plan to clay/wax the car so it looks as nice as possible. It may be 10 years old, but it doesn't need to look like shit.

I didn't want to pay for shipping on the WeatherTech stuff, so I ordered it for will call. They're less than 20 miles away so it's no biggie.

Today:
  • Yakima LoadWarrior + LoadWarrior StretchNet
  • Yakima TimberLine Towers
  • Yakima SKS Lock Cores
  • Yakima RoundBar SL Adapter
  • Sherpak Go! 15 Roof Bag

...so that means I have the basket and bag for my trip, and the stuff the Odyssey needs for the roof box (though the cargo bag may be usable instead of that solid roof box if it's big enough).
