So every since the Lenovo e570 was purchased the built in Wifi has been spotty at best and usually just doesn't work. I read stories of the onboard antennas being disconnected from the Wifi card straight from the factory, so I popped the access cover and sure enough one of the little antenna wires with the IPEX type connectors wasn't connected to the M.2 wireless card. Worse yet, the connector for it is totally cratered. Like someone used undue force trying to get it to snap onto the wireless card. It will never go on it.
I absolutely cannot find the set of Wifi antennas with leads for this laptop. I know that they run from the area where the card is all the way up through the hinges and into the bezel around the LCD, so that's going to be fun to replace. But I'd really like to get the onboard Wifi working... |

evildre, happen to have a LGA 1150 CPU sitting around? Wife and I are going to rebuild our desktop and I'd rather use a LGA 1150 instead of a LGA 1155 CPU.

Are there any good video cards that won't tear my wallet a new asshole right now?
I'd like to upgrade from my GTX 970, but not if I have to drop a thousand fuckin' dollars to do it.

In other news, the "Your site has been flagged for malware" emails from GoDaddy are pissing me off hard. The files that were enumerated in the email are either default WordPress files that haven't been modified since the last security update, or plugin files that haven't been modified in 1 to 3 years. So, unless, someone is manipulating timestamps on the Linux host, these are false alarms ![]()

Appreciate the recommendation, but they're either all sold out or around $1,000.
