Got my OnePlus 6 and moved the stuff over. So far, so good... For some reason I've got that old Nexus feeling. Everything is so smooth and responsive.

Dude ... I've been on the OnePlus 6 for less than 24 hours. I went from Android 7.0 on the V20 to 8.1 on the 6 ... and now I'm seeing high-profile tech news sites saying that OnePlus is rolling out Android Pie.

THIS IS AWESOME.

Companies that don't make Linux drivers for their hardware, or make them difficult to install, can bite my fuzzy ass cheek.

Looking at you, MediaTek. Your drivers for the MT7630E are so bad that someone had to modify them to make them usable under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Luckily they work on 18.04 LTS as well, but I'll have to uninstall/reinstall them (i.e. remove, recompile) every time the kernel's updated

For posterity:

sudo apt -y install git build-essential
git clone https://github.com/neurobin/MT7630E.git
cd MT7630E/
chmod +x install test uninstall
sudo ./install

Found some old HS classmates on Facebook recently. One of the admitted she had a crush on me back then. New territory for me, never had that happen that I knew about.

Funny how that happens though, isn't it? There were several who admitted that years after graduation, but during high school I regarded them as out of my league.

At this point, though? Their fuckin' loss.
