Just spoke to a long lost friend. Haven't heard the guy's voice in 13 years or so. Doesn't sound like he aged a day.

He's changed so, so much since then. Cleaned up, grown up. Going to have to hang out with him next time he's in town.

I just realized my grill's fifth birthday was two days ago. Not sure why I remembered that, or what relevance it has to anything, but there you go.

Are you gonna throw it a party? Am I invited?

I'm leaning more and more towards MyBB as the forum software replacement. I was hoping to find something with better social media integration, but short of paying $150 for a Xenforo license I don't think I'm going to find anything perfect in the 'free' software category. I just can't afford it, and can't justify it for a forum that six people regularly visit.

My prerequisites are really few, but tough to find:

1. Looks and feels the most like classic vBulletin from the user end.
2. At least some level of social media integration (ie, can like posts and have it show up on Facebook)
3. Better image hosting abilities - a 'drop zone' like copy and paste uploader would be idea but so far Xenforo is the only software I've seen that truly does this and does it well.
4. Easy enough for me to skin / theme to my heart's content.

MyBB looks the closest to vBulletin 3 that I've found sofar, at least to the end user. That's what's most important to me - us old timers don't like change. I don't think MyBB has social media integration built in, but there are plugins. And as for the drop zone uploader.... well, there's a plugin for it. Still doesn't work nearly as well as Xenforo but.... meh.

Man, how's a grill gonna eat cake?

I'd like to produce this for Daisy. I'll need to take her measurements and buy some filament, though -- don't want to use company filament for my dog I'll have to print it in white and then paint the plates and spikes. Thinking of red for the armor plates and gold for the spikes/pegs that hold it all together. Maybe gold for the edges of the plates too. I'll have to sand the print to get the layer striations out of there, and then do paint/clear as needed. I want my dog to look like a damn warrior.

Got me a nice room-temperature half-glass of Cragganmore 12 and I'm about to fire up Mass Effect: Andromeda.

VACATION WOO

I still hate this Samsung. Much more tolerable in the OtterBox though. Next one will be either an Essential or a OnePlus, though. Not all that impressed with the Pixels, and I dislike HTC.
