Today is the first time I've turned on my PC in almost three months... well, for non work reasons.

Bruiser the cranky knee is pretty much completely healed - I'd say 95%.

Now I'm dealing with a major back issue... why? Because I fucking fell in the bathroom two days ago and landed almost flat on my back... and it huuuuurt. And it still huuuuuurts. My life is a comedy for someone but I'm not laughing.

Still, I'm up and about today. Got a doctor's appointment at 1:30 today and I'm going to flat out tell her she needs to reduce the Losartan. The dosage I'm on now (Maximum daily = 100mg makes me want to pass out when standing upright for more than 10 minutes or so. I can't even water the fucking yard without wanting to drop.

If she doesn't reduce it, I'll reduce it on my own because this is bullshit.

I'm still awake. Was supposed to get the vinyl flooring replaced today between 10am and 1pm. Guess what hasn't happened yet?

Le sigh. Guess I'm calling into work tonight because sleep will never come to this place.

Unrelated, having a FireTV Cube has made me lazy in ways I didn't think was possible. I don't have any of the major home automation stuff, I'm not real big into that at the moment, but the Cube is tied into my home entertainment devices and now I can turn them on and off and swap between them with just my voice. It's convenient if I'm holding some food and don't have to worry about reaching for a remote, but it still feels lazy as fuck.

Also I'm warming up to Alexa, which just means that it'll be that much easier for Skynet in the long run probably.

I have two Echo Dots, a JBL Link 20 Google Home Speaker + 2 iPhones w/ Siri (and an iPod touch w/ Siri). All but the JBL connected to my Home Assistant home automation setup.

Google Home Mini is $34 right now. Too broke right now, but damn I would totally grab it otherwise. Probably.

I need to ask dumb questions to more than just Alexa, because that's what I do when I'm bored.

Given that the finish isn't as shiny as it used to be, chances are I'll take it to a pro to make it look perfect again. For now, though, it looks good enough.

Oh I mean server shit

It would be really nice if Hyper-V had sound drivers so I didn't have to install something else on a Windows host in order to use a Linux desktop to test things out properly.

In other news, the whole roof rack/cargo bag setup is installed on the Civic, along with a shitload of stickers. Feedback I've gotten is "fucking sick." That's good, I gather. Next up: pack the suitcase and tools into the cargo bag, and pack the network shit into the trunk.
